This year's joining camp was a special one for me. I went from being a participant to serving. At first, I was a bit nervous because I'd never served a camp before. I wanted help make this camp as special for the participants as it was for me last year. With the grace of God, we were able to give our all for Him and make this camp really special for these participants. Like I said, it's very different being a participant and serving. I honestly never realized all the work put in for this joining camp. I'd say it's worth it though.
Just seeing everyone working so hard for the success of this camp was really inspiring. I also loved seeing how the participants changed throughout the course of the weekend, especially my younger brother. Watching him throughout was just something special. He reminded me of myself at my first camp, a little shy at first, but open minded, and I'm glad he was there as we journey in faith together.
Overall, I just loved this experience. From hearing the talks, prayer time, worship, getting to meet new people, everything. And I think I can speak for everyone that went, that this was an unforgettable experience.
